In Case of Emergency

In the event of an emergency, you should tune to local television and radio stations for further information.

1)Warnings by the federal government are disseminated through the Pennsylvania Emergency  Management Agency (PEMA)

    2) Cambria County Emergency Management receives information from PEMA and other sources for communication to intra-county local governments such as the City of Johnstown

    3) When emergency notification of the public is warranted, information is broadcast through local television and radio stations through the emergency broadcast system coordinated by the National Weather Service.  You may have heard tests of the system when listening to regular programming

    4) Additional information may come directly from public officials when a news release is issued

    5) When an emergency occurs that effects multiple communities, there is cooperation to minimize confusion and mixed messages
