The Finance Department is responsible for the maintenance of all the financial records, and ensures that all assets and resources are accounted for in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.   The department makes certain that proper internal controls are in place to manage and safeguard the public’s resources.

The department is directly responsible for:

  • Budget Preparation and Expenditure Control
  • Accounts Payables
  • Accounts Receivables
  • Payroll
  • Debt Management
  • Borough Deposit and Banking Transactions
  • Coordination of Independent Audit

The Finance Department produces monthly and annual financial reports, and prepares various account analyses.
